Which is more important to you?

Which is more important to you:  for you to think you are a
success or for others to think you are a success?

Now ponder that just for a moment.

Is it more important for you to think you are a success,
or for others to think you are a success?

Now all of us being humans have emotions, and I find that
the answer really comes down to:  It feels good if you have
both, because we do like to feel good about ourselves, and
we do like other people to think highly of us, to respect
us, to look up to us.

However, if only others think you are successful and you
don’t feel it yourself, then you won’t feel truly successful.

That’s the problem.

So, if only other people think you are successful, but in
your heart of hearts you don’t feel successful, you’re not
going to be successful.

So it’s much, much better to know and be confident in your
own success than to have others only think you are successful.
To have that confidence in yourself that you know deep down
inside, and to have that confidence level in yourself that you
are successful, is something that is going to give you that
feeling of success and self-worth.

Now your truest success will always be measured by your own
yardstick of success, not by limiting your success by the
recognition of others.  You know, a lot of times people they
will recognize our success, but they only see what you’ve
accomplished up to this point.  They don’t know that you’ve
set a yardstick of measurement higher for yourself even beyond
what they can see.

So, to be satisfied with just the recognition of others is
not the game you want to be playing.  You always want to be
setting your goals a little higher, stretching yourself,
reaching for the next level, growing.

This is an excerpt from just one of the lessons in the
Ultimate Success Program.

When you’re ready, I invite you to join the thousands
who have applied these life lessons that I’ve put together
into a step-by-step success program.

There’s one recurring theme through all of the lessons,
and that is to take action on each and every step. If
you don’t do that, nothing will happen for you.

The law of cause and effect is real, you must be the
cause (the action) to get the desired effect (your
dreams and goals).

May I help you too?

As always, my best to you —

Mark Hendricks
