A lesson we can learn from Bert the dog

A few summers ago we adopted two little dogs, and both of them
had been in homes, and both of them had different problems.  The
one that we picked up, we renamed him because we couldn’t even
pronounce the name that the other people had given him.  And we
called him Bert.  Now one of the reasons we called him Bert was
the other dog’s name was Ernie.  So we called them Bert and Ernie.

Well, Bert is this… I’m not sure what kind of breed of dog he
is, but he’s kind of like Benji.  He’s one of these scruffy,
fuzzy-looking faced dogs with floppy hair and really cute face
and stuff like that.

And all the dogs that have come into my life, I feel like they’ve
come into my life to teach me various lessons.  Each one’s got a
different personality, and each one of them kind of brings their
different version of love to the relationships.  And it’s very,
very interesting.

Now what Bert teaches me is that he absolutely lives in the moment.

He loves to play.

He’s always looking for the opportunity to get his little rope toy
and bring it up to you and play with you, or to give you some kind
of love and nuzzle up to you, or run around the back yard.

He is absolutely in the moment.

And if he’s going to take a nap, he’s in the moment and he takes his nap.

He gets up; he’s ready to go.  He’s always looking for something to do.

He’s real positive, and he’s really, really in the moment.

And that’s one of the greatest things that I learned from Bert.

And I would suggest to you that we want to learn from the past; yet,
we need to plan for the future, but we do need to live in the moment,
like Bert does.

This is an excerpt from just one of the lessons in the
Ultimate Success Program.

When you’re ready, I invite you to join the thousands
who have applied these life lessons that I’ve put together
into a step-by-step success program.

There’s one recurring theme through all of the lessons,
and that is to take action on each and every step. If
you don’t do that, nothing will happen for you.

The law of cause and effect is real, you must be the
cause (the action) to get the desired effect (your
dreams and goals).

May I help you too?

As always, my best to you —

Mark Hendricks
